In a move that surprises nobody, Bioware has officially announced a sequel to their smash hit Dragon Age: Origins. They have launched a website for the title, but have given very little information so far. There will be a trailer posted to the site in mid-August, and you can also sign up for an email list to receive further details when they become available. There will also be more information in the next Game Informer magazine, as Dragon Age 2 will receive a 10-page spread.
The second title in the series will again be developed for the PS3, XBox 360 and PC; so, no one is getting left out of the party. This time, your quest will span more than a decade as you gather allies and try to save the world. The campaign takes place in a wholly different area with a new cast and revamped battle mechanics; so, one shouldn’t expect a re-hashing of the original title.
