Child of Eden is the latest game from the mind of Tetsuya Mizuguchi, creator of Rez, Space Channel 5, and Lumines. At first glance, it looks like a much more aesthetically beautiful version of Rez and definitely shares some of the same basic ideas, but the integration with the Kinect on the XBox 360 adds a new dimension to the gameplay.
In the game, you are trying to help save Project Lumi from a viral invasion. Project Lumi’s goal is to re-create a human personality inside of a human memory archive called Eden. The game combines shooter mechanics with rhythm and music, much the same way Rez did. With Kinect, instead of using a controller, you can aim and move with your own body, changing the feel of the gameplay entirely.
Child of Eden will be available for both the 360 and PS3 in early 2011, but at this time, there is no indication that it will also be compatible with the Move.
