Update (11/2/13): Our livestream is now broadcasting. Come join us at our Twitch channel for the Extra Life marathon!

For the third straight year, we at The G.A.M.E.S. Blog will be taking part in the Extra Life charity gaming marathon. This year’s event takes place on November 2nd, and thanks to the Daylight Savings Time change, we’ll be playing for 25 hours this year. In the past two years, we’ve played everything from Where’s Waldo to Battletoads and Dance Dance Revolution to Fortune Street and everything in-between. What’s on tap for this year? You’ll have to stop by on the day of the event and see for yourself!

Just like the last two years, we will be broadcasting our gaming marathon via Twitch, and we will post that link on the day of the event. Until then, you can do your part by donating to the cause at our team page and helping us spread the word. Every little bit helps, and even if you can’t give money, just telling others about the event can work wonders.

The Extra Life event was started in 2008, and since then has raised millions of dollars for Children’s Miracle Network hospitals. Last year’s event raised $2,300,000, more than double the previous year’s total. You can join a team or raise money as an individual, too, by signing up at the Extra Life website.

Thanks in advance for any help you give for this event, and we will see you on November 2nd!
