Japanese telecom Docomo, who are providing the 3G access to the PS Vita in Japan, points out on their website (via Kotaku) that they will be blocking “unsuitable sites” from the web browser to “protect” underage gamers.  If you want to unblock your connection, you have to take your SIM card to the nearest Docomo shop and present photo ID.  Those under 20 need a letter of consent from a  legal gaurdian. Steve Jobs would be proud.

Of course with those 3G plans being charged by the hour, I don’t think there will be many guys using their Vita to watch porn.  It would be cheaper to go find a hooker.

Also, am I the only one that had no idea you’re not considered an adult till 20 in Japan?
