Spoiler Inside SelectShow
Alan has been driven mad by the darkness. He finds himself trapped in his own mind. He travels pretty much through all the areas he traveled to in the main game. He is helped along by Thomas Zane and a Barry Ghost that his mind created. Alan must follow a GPS signal on his cell phone that leads to Thomas Zane. With their help Alan realizes he is in dream world of his own creation and breaks out. He awakens on the floor of the cabin which is at the bottom of the lake. He is still a prisoner of the darkness but is free of his own minds prison. [/spoiler]

The Good.
I loved the game Alan Wake. I gave it an overall 9/10. The graphics are just as good as before. The soundtrack rocks.

The Bad.
Uber verizon product placement again. This time the latest Verizon phone falls to the ground in bullet time to make sure you see its sleek curves and logo. They even have Thomas Zane do the “Can You Hear Me Now?” joke. Oh, and now your collecting alarm clocks instead of thermos’.

The Ugly.
This piece of DLC was not worth waiting 2 months, nor was it worth $6. I got it free for having the Collectors Edition but I still feel cheated. The entire chapter took less than an hour to play and I play slowly. I make sure I hit every nook and cranny for items. So someone with less patience than me would likely finish in 30 minutes or less. The entire thing was essentially a flashback episode. I know they are trying to have a TV feel to the whole thing but this was ridiculous.

I could not even recommend this to get story line since it added nothing. If you have the collectors edition and this is free go ahead and play for 30 minutes if your bored. Everyone else should save their money.
