Level-5 is set to open up their North American studio in September, and they’re already loading up on titles to bring over. The Japanese studio previously known for White Knight Chronicles and Professor Layton and for working with Square Enix on Dragon Quest VIII will be publishing some of their own titles stateside next year. CEO Akihiro Hino hinted to Nintendo Power that among the releases we will probably see Ni no Kuni and Inazuma Eleven. He did not indicate whether we will be seeing both the PS3 and DS versions of Ni no Kuni, but since it was Nintendo Power, we can pretty much assume at least the DS version will be brought over.

Hino did not give any time table for seeing these games cross the Pacific, but he did say that we won’t be waiting “too long.” Considering the Japanese version of Ni no Kuni isn’t due out until December, I don’t see an English version happening before 2011. The soccer RPG Inazuma Eleven, on the other hand, has two DS titles already out; so, we may be seeing one of those fairly soon. The full interview with Hino can be seen in this month’s Nintendo Power.
