Square is slowly but surely releasing a bunch of teasing info on Sleeping Dogs, the game that in another life was True Crime: Hong Kong. Their latest trailer delves into the development team’s infatuation with Hong Kong and why it makes for such a unique open world experience.
Many of the designers and developers behind Sleeping Dogs went to Hong Kong to gather research to help them build the world, and as the gameplay shots in the trailer show, it paid off nicely. United Front Games appears to have captured the city’s most captivating sights, from Hong Kong’s sprawling skyline to its cluttered alleyways.
For a game that had one foot in the grave, Sleeping Dogs is looking like it will be a great time. As long as Square and United Front Games can make gameplay as fun as the trailers have been, they could have a winner. Check out the latest trailer below and sound off with your thoughts in the comments.
