Anonymous developers working on 3DS games have told IGN that the processing power of Nintendo’s next generation of hand held will have more processing power than a Wii but not as much as an Xbox. If true that means at least enough processing power to generate 480p images which are the bare minimum to be “officially” considered HD. This is currently the output capability of the of the Wii. Other rumor mongers from Japan suggest the system will contain an analog stick, rumble, and wii mote style accelerometers.
The 3DS is set for a March 2011 release and will be officially shown to the world at Nintendo’s E3 conference.
