Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love is coming to North America this November courtesy of NIS America for the Wii and PS2. The fifth game in the Sakura Taisen series originally came out in Japan in 2005. You might consider the four year lag between releases a long time, but it is the first of the titles to receive official release in North America. So, in this case it truly is better late than never. The game received a 37/40 from Famitsu and was one of the highest selling games of 2005 in Japan. The game will be released on November 10th as a two disc set, one featuring the Japanese voice acting, the other, English.
A 4 minute trailer for the game that combines bits of gameplay footage with quite a bit of cutscene animation was recently released. The narrator sounds like Laura Bailey who recently did the voice of Ulrika in Mana Khemia 2, but I’m not 100% certain. Enjoy the trailer below.
