Sega has been producing the Sakura Wars series in Japan for almost 15 years now, but not one found its way to a North American release until now. Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love, the fifth game in the series, was originally released in Japan in 2005, but last year NIS America finally stepped up to the plate and undertook the task of localizing it. So, was the tactical-RPG-meets-dating-sim worth the wait?

NIS America has released a statement announcing that they have moved the release of Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love from March 23rd to March 30th. The delay affects both the PS2 and Wii versions of the game.

NIS America has announced that Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love will be released in March 2010, but there is still no full release date. Both Amazon and GameStop list it with the placeholder date of March 30th, 2010; so, even the distributors don’t have an official day yet. However, what we do have are some nice, big pictures of the cover art for both PS2 and Wii; so enjoy those here.
