Update (11/10/2012): We’re little delayed from our original livestream date, but the marathon is happening right now! Head over to our stream page to watch, and see the donation link below to give to Children’s Miracle Network.

Hi everyone, like last year, we at The G.A.M.E.S. Blog are joining forces with Children’s Miracle Network, Sarcastic Gamer and thousands of others to raise money for Extra Life. For those who aren’t familiar, it’s a 24-hour gaming marathon that raises money for a children’s hospital of the player’s choice.

Last year, the entire Extra Life event raised over 1.2 million dollars for children. For this year’s event, which will take place starting on October 20th, our team goal is $1000 and we will be livestreaming and chatting throughout the event. As we get close to the event, we will post a list of games we will have on hand, and donators can stop by our livestream and suggest games for us to play throughout the day and night. To donate, join our team or see who we are playing for, you can click here or use the donation thermometer to the right.

On the morning of the event, we will have links to our livestream page, so follow us on Facebook or Twitter in order to know when our marathon starts up. If you have any suggestions for games between now and then, feel free to leave them in the comments, and we’ll keep them in mind. Thanks in advance for all of you who donate!
